In the teaching-learning process, we speak Italian to create a full immersion in the language and reach simple but quicker results, even for beginners.
Also English language will be used for guests of levels 1 and 2 to support comprehension and communication.
A communicative approach is applied to better involve guests in the process and make learning more active thanks to their direct participation.
Audio and visual materials, grammar units, texts of different difficulty, newspapers and magazines will be used to teach at different levels and different activities.
We use readings from various books, from the simpler to the more complex level and based on the competence, the requests, the length of stay in the city, the age of learners (children are also welcome); we also do exercises with an Italian dictionary to enrich lexicon.
Topics are many and different and selected in a very flexible way considering many variables related to guests and the kind of activity chosen (see other pages of this web site).
For anyone who may be interested, we also organize visits to galleries and local museums and walks in Venice, talking Italian whilst wandering in “calli” and “campielli”, as learning experience and method of study which allows guests to have a true direct contact with Venetian reality.
